pops fernandez on covid19 crisis

'Centerstage' judge Pops Fernandez on her mindset during COVID-19 crisis: "It's easier said than done but sana nga mas ma-focus tayo du'n sa positive things."

Centerstage judge Pops Fernandez shared that celebrities actually have a role in this time of COVID-19 crisis.

Aside from their donation campaigns and efforts to help the government distribute goods and foods packs to the public, actors, singers, dancers, comedians, and celebrities alike are keeping the public entertained, letting them breathe from the stress and dangers coronavirus may bring.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the Concert Queen related some of the things entertainers do for their fans, followers and the general public as a whole.

“We can try, we really can't erase their grief totally dahil marami po talagang affected. But we try.

“Ako kasi, the only connection that I have is through social media. So ako, most of my posts are positive.

"I want to instill a lot of possibilities sa mga sumusubaybay sa 'kin at sa mga sumusunod sa 'kin,” she said.

“Para hindi sila mawalan ng hope and just be reminded that this is something that will pass and after this, we will be okay later on.

“I also constantly remind my followers to keep praying, to not lose their faith,” Pops added.

Pops has also launched series of Facebook live interviews where some of the brightest stars in the entertainment industry have been featured.

“I do Facebook live interviews. I invite my friends from the industry to share also their experiences while staying home under quarantine.

“Para malaman ng tao na we are no different. We are actually going through what everyone else is going through, not just here in the Philippines but all over the world,” she said.

“Everyone is equal. Whether you're here or in the other part of the world, we are going through the same thing,” she noted.

And she said, she and other celebrities help community by instilling positive insights to people amid the pandemic.

“Marami akong naririnig na naa-anxiety na raw sila. Let's not put that in our minds. It's easier said than done but sana nga mas ma-focus tayo du'n sa positive things.

“We keep ourselves busy, we try to do other things, para makalimutan din natin whatever it is that we're going through,” Pops said.
