Rocco Nacino

Rocco Nacino said he is willing to do more as a citizen, a nurse, a USAID ambassador, and as a military reservist.

The quarantine saw the rise of celebrities turning to businesses as opportunities in showbiz are also affected by the pandemic:

For Rocco, this situation also meant answering the call of duty.

The Kapuso actor has an interesting background that inspires him to take action during this health crisis. He is a registered nurse, a Philippine Navy reservist, and an #EndTB ambassador for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

“I would love to do more, kaya tinanggap ko rin na maging ambassador for USAID to end TB (tuberculosis) and to be a voice alongside Alden Richards para tumulong talaga sa mga kababayan natin. We cannot be thinking of just ourselves. We have to think of everyone as well. Dito na pumapasok 'yung unity natin and 'yung pagtutulungan bilang isang Pilipino.

“I would love to go out of my way, to go out and do talks, and really help out physically when it comes to operations. We have a lot of projects with the Philippine Navy also kaya sabi ko naman sa kanila na ready ako anytime as a citizen. Siyempre there's only so much I can do but I will do what I can.”

Rocco also recently launched his own COVID-19 testing center.

“One of my best moves was really starting this testing company para talaga makatulong. Iba rin makatanggap ng 'Sir, salamat po na meron kayong ganitong testing facility or mga doctors na pumupunta sa bahay namin kaya di na namin kailangan bumiyahe. Because they get a lot of positive cases. Ang kailangan namin ibigay talaga sa kanila is really the education. So at this time, everyone should be willing to learn on what to do and how to be safe.”
