EXO-Ls, get your wallets ready because EXO's Chanyeol is prepping to take on his first role in a Korean movie.
On Thursday, July 30, SM Entertainment confirmed that the K-pop idol would be starring in the flick titled “The Box.”
It said, “Chanyeol has decided to appear in a jukebox road movie, 'The Box,' and currently in the process of working out the details.”
According to reports, “The Box” is a jukebox musical film about an aspiring singer and a washed-up music producer who used to be a big shot in the music industry.
Aside from being cast in the lead role, Chanyeol will be dipping his hands in the production of the movie by personally participating in rearranging the songs that he'll perform.

This isn't the first time the EXO rapper has appeared in a movie though.
In 2016, Chanyeol participated in the Chinese movie, “So I Married an Anti-fan” as the China-based Hallyu star Hoo Joon.
However, this is the first time he will be participating in a Korean movie.
The upcoming film will be directed by Yang Jung-woong, notably known for producing the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremonies.
Production of the movie is slated to start sometime in August.
