A week ago, EXO's D.O. announced that he will be releasing his first solo mini-album. After his return from mandatory military service, D.O. let his fans know that he has started working on songs for his official solo debut.

On July 1, D.O. revealed that he would be releasing his mini-album on July 26. He also shared the first teaser for the upcoming mini-album, an artistic black and white photo.

EXO-L, EXO's official fandom name, showered D.O. with love and expressed their delight on Twitter.

On June 7, K-pop group EXO released their comeback special album Don't Fight the Feeling along with its title track and space-themed music video. “Don't Fight the Feeling” is a dance song that encourages the listener to believe in themselves and think of the future when they are faced with difficult decisions in life.

Meanwhile, On February 2021, it was confirmed that D.O. will be starring in a Korean remake of the 2008 Taiwanese film Secret, a fantasy romance film about a piano prodigy who transfers into a new school and meets a girl playing a mysterious melody in an old practice room.
