EXO member Sehun broke his silence over the baseless rumors about him by sharing a short statement on Instagram Story today, March 28.

Korean entertainment site Soompi translated the statement into English, wherein Sehun talked about this “woman,” who is “pretending” to be his girlfriend.

He said, “Nonsense posts have been circulating online the past few days, and I felt that I should take legal action to end this right away.”

The K-pop idol continued, “My fans are also aware of this, but there is a woman who has been going around pretending to be my girlfriend for the past few years.

“She uploads posts and write on social media like we are in a relationship, and I knew about this because I heard about her. I do not know her at all, but just letting it all go as an insignificant matter has caused this situation to blow up to this point.”

Sehun also stressed that all photos and posts circulating online are not him.

Soompi reported that there are rumors spreading that the alleged non-showbiz girlfriend of Sehun was pregnant.

SM Entertainment, the agency handling the career of EXO, released an official statement on March 27 to set the record straight and to remind everyone that all these rumors about Sehun are “false” and “groundless.”

“The rumors circulating online about Sehun are false and completely groundless. This is a definite criminal act of distributing malicious false information. Although the posts have been deleted, we are continuously monitoring [to figure out] the original poster as well as those who distribute the rumors. We will be taking strong legal action.” SM Entertainment said.

Sehun and fellow EXO member Chanyeol will both visit the Philippines this coming May for their EXO-SC fan con tour at the Araneta Coliseum.
