During her concert with My Special Tatay co-star Ken Chan on May 11 at the Music Musem dubbed as My Special Love, she remembered her late father, Red Valdez, who passed away in 2015.
Rita said during the concert, “May mga taong minahal natin pero kailangan nang lumisan nang maaga.”
“Pero alam natin na may patutunguhan ang lahat, alam natin na isang araw magkikita-kita rin tayong lahat.
“So I dedicate this to my Papa and to my mom. Mama, whatever happens, you're still my mom. You're always part of my success,” she said tearfully.
Rita then performed her new self-composed song “Florita”.
