Daniel Matsunaga

How did Daniel and Vanessa Matsunaga celebrate their mom's special day while stranded in a beach due to ECQ?

Who would have thought that the Matsunaga family's four-day trip ito the beach will stretch to more than three weeks?

In an Instagram post by Vanessa, Daniel's sister, she revealed that they are currently stranded in a beach due to the enhanced community quarantine being implemented in Luzon to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019.

Meet the #Brapanese Hotties!

Based on the recent posts of Vanessa's husband, Jun Sunga, the family is currently in Anilao, Batangas.

Locked down away from our home to what was supposed to be a 3 day weekend that is now on day 15. Limited toys but the kids have figured it out. Their creativity and imagination is both a blessing and inspiration. They make the best of each day. No worries and no anxieties because they know we got them. The security they have is the same security we should have in our Father and God. He is in control, he got us! Make the best of each day and be creative! Reset, refresh and restore! Pray and Play! Ooohhh and help with however whatever means you can. #faithoverfear #jvsunga1130 #isabellams11 #davidnery18

Despite of what happened, the Matsunagas decided to throw a simple celebration for their mom Geralda, who turned 61 this week.

Day 19. This is my quaranteam. We originally packed for a 4 day trip to celebrate Bella's birthday at the beach and we never thought that we would be celebrating my mom's birthday here. My mom always made sure we had a special cake on our birthdays, but life is not what it used to be and we didn't have the resources to bake her one here. I was sad about that until we realized that God had already provided for the cake before we could even think of a solution. Days ago, @jun_sunga bought 3 watermelons. We ate the smaller ones and left the big one. Everyday, I remember looking at the remaining watermelon and thinking: “let's open that one today”. For some reason, we didn't. Little that we know, that was meant to be my moms cake all along. The precious lessons I've learned from a simple watermelon cake: God always provides and where there's less resources, creativity reigns. Lots of love from my family to yours ♥️

Jun also penned a heartwarming message for his mother-in-law on her special day.

"On a serious note, happy birthday, mamãe. You are huge blessing to us all on the daily not just because of what you do but primarily because of your bold service to our Lord.

"For 11 years of sharing our lives together you have become one of the biggest source of inspiration and influence. So proud to be beside you everyday."

She instantly becomes another mom to the people she meets wether it's for the day or a lifetime, the best part of it all is that she ain't no mama bear. She's a Llama mama. Pretty chill, kind, loving, beautiful and supportive but if you mess with any of her kids and grandkids she's gonna kick, bite and spit! Hahah Don't mess with this llama mama 💪 On a serious note, happy birthday, mamãe. You are huge blessing to us all on the daily not just because of what you do but primarily because of your bold service to our Lord. For 11 years of sharing our lives together you have become one of the biggest source of inspiration and influence. So proud to be beside you everyday. You are so good and kind that sometimes I get so embarrassed of my shortcomings. Thank you for the consistency of your heart, you are truly a daughter of Jesus. Thank you for raising @vanessamatsunaga to be the woman she is. I always tell Isabella to be like her mommy and her mommy is just like you except that she's just tiny bit of an angrier llama than you. 🦙 😂 ✌🏿 photos: with David are from Hokkaido and photo with Isabella are from Colorado. #jvsunga1130 #js365grateful
