Allan K even changed his profile picture to his sister who had passed away on July 21.
“I miss you sooooo much…” penned Eat Bulaga dabarkad Allan K on Instagram on Monday, July 27.
The post came almost a week after his sister, Melba Quilantang, had reportedly passed away.
The tragic incident was reported by columnist Jun Nardo, who said that Melba died while Allan was hosting the Tuesday episode of the longest-running noontime show.
At the time, Allan was unaware of the news and the show was holding a live telecast of “Bawal Judgmental” with celebrity player Geoff Eigenmann.
According to the report, Melba died in her hometown in Bacolod.
Since her passing, Allan kept mum about the said incident, often posting local businesses to help his fellow Filipinos who need support.
It was only on Monday evening when he spoke openly about it and even changed his profile picture to Melba's photograph.

His post has received so many messages from friends and fans who sent their condolences to the bereaved.

It can be recalled that in May, Allan lost his younger brother whom he fondly calls as his “bunso.”
And just last month, his comedy bars have closed down due to the effects of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
In a post made on Instagram, Allan described the feeling as “parang namatayan ng anak.”
He added, “Kambal na anak pa, Klownz at Zirkoh, dalawa. Malungkot kasi naging bahagi na 'yon ng buhay ko for 18 years. Gabi-gabi akong nandu'n, nagpupuyat.
“Totoo pala talaga 'yung dalawang mukha ng showbiz, ng entertainment. Isang masaya, isang malungkot.
“Pero this time, ito 'yung pinakamahabang malungkot na mukha.”
