Ruffa Gutierrez thanks her parents for their guidance and support.
Although she had many ups and downs in the public eye, Ruffa Gutierrez still credits her parents for shaping her to become the strong woman she is today.
On Instagram, the former beauty queen and actress posted a throwback photo of her with parents Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama.
She said in the caption, “I just want to take this time to thank my Mom and Dad for everything.
“Without your guidance, I wouldn't be the person I am today. I love you both.”
It can be recalled that Annabelle and Ruffa have long been at odds when it comes to her love life. And the Gutierrez matriarch is known for her straightforward approach when airing her opinion about Ruffa in public.
Despite all this, the mother-daughter tandem remained close and Ruffa said that Annabelle is their family's “rock.”
“For being by my side through my best and worst days. I wouldn't be able to make it through life without you,” she wrote last May.
Ruffa is also very close to her father, Eddie, who plays as the second father to her daughters Lorin and Venice.
Last July, the former beauty queen said that her dad gave her “the greatest gift anyone could ask for: he believed in me.”
She added, “He took care of me, taught me so many life lessons I cherish until this day, and held my hand until I could fly on my own.
“Thank you for being an inspiration to me, Lorin, Venice, and the rest of the family. You are perfect in our eyes.”
