It was a bittersweet moment for renowned dermatologist Dra. Vicki Belo yesterday, September 28, as her whole family marked the birthday of her late mom Florencia “Nena” Singson Gonzalez-Belo.

Nena Belo died in 2016 and even though a few years have since passed, the death of her mom is something too hard to forget for Vicki Belo.

On Instagram, the popular celebrity doctor shared a throwback photo with her mom and wrote a heartwarming tribute to the woman she looks up to the most.

In a somber tone, Vicki said, “Happiest birthday to the wonder woman I look up to the most , who happens to be my sweet mom and my best friend .

“You're an extraordinary woman who has inspired me all my life, and I'm forever grateful for all the great love you've given me. I miss you every single day”

In an article posted on Preview magazine's website, it was recently confirmed by the National Museum of the Philippines that an unfinished painting of a woman by National Artist Fernando Amorsolo was identified as Vicki's mom.

Amorsolo died on April 24, 1972 at the age of 79.

According to the report, the painting by Amorsolo has been sitting in National Museum of the Philippines' Gallery VI since 2015.
