Parenthood is coming. Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie are having a baby!
Reel-to-real couple Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie are expecting their first child, two years after tying the knot in 2018.
The Game of Thrones (GoT) actress revealed her baby bump in the new issue of UK magazine, Make, which said, “not many can pull off a Stella McCartney floor-length silk frock and a fashion shoot when expecting a baby but Rose Leslie shows no sign of fatigue.”
Kit and Rose portrayed Jon Snow and Ygritte, respectively, on the Emmy Award-winning HBO series Game of Thrones and stirred up relationship rumors in 2012.
They got engaged in September 2017, confirming the happy news through a classified advertisement in The Times. They finally wed in Scotland in June 2018.
Speaking with Make Magazine, Leslie described her experience with GoT as an incredible one because it “definitely opened a lot of doors with casting directors and producers.”
She also said she's been spending quality time with her husband at their Tudor manor house in East Anglia, which she jokingly calls the “house that Jon Snow built.”
“What a glorious thing to be able to run to the countryside and recoup. It's a great privilege to be surrounded by greenery, birdsong, hedgerows, and our delightful neighbors. It's so peaceful,” added the pregnant star.
Kit and Rose are not the only Game of Thrones stars to share some pregnancy news.
In July, their former co-star Sophie Turner welcomed her first child with husband Joe Jonas. While Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, a.k.a. The Mountain, welcomed a baby boy with his wife Kelsey Henson yesterday, September 28.
