Gladys Reyes: “What a great gift, my papa can now go home after his successful angioplasty 3 days ago.”
Primera kontrabida Gladys Reyes is breathing a sigh of relief after his dad, Sonny, was cleared by his doctors to go home after his angioplasty procedure.
Last week, the versatile actress revealed on Instagram that her dad suffered a heart attack.
On January 15, she updated the public via her Instagram that his father had undergone a successful angioplasty procedure.
Medlineplus.gov defines angioplasty as a procedure to restore blood flow in the artery.
The former Madrasta star posted her heartfelt appreciation to everyone who took care of her dad during such a delicate procedure.
“Our prayers are answered!! It was a successful angioplasty by Dr. Remus Batilaran, Dr. Miranda and their team. Thank you also to his cardiologist, Dr. Juanito Rodulfo for monitoring my papa since day one. [Nine] hours of waiting and praying paid off! I didn't want to leave because I wanted to make sure, my papa will see me after.
“Thank you to these awesome people from Cath Lab who gave me comfort and making sure I was ok. Thank you so much to all your kind words, encouragement from my family, friends who pm'd, even those I don't know personally, sending DMs, I really appreciate it so much!! God is indeed in control.
“I don't know how I was able to surpass all the rollercoaster of emotions being in this situation, but I am grateful!! Praying there will be no more complications and that my papa is on his way to full recovery. Goodnight everyone!!
Days after, on January 18, Gladys was excited to announce that her father got clearance from the hospital to return home--the same day Daddy Sonny and his wife marked their wedding anniversary.
Gladys shared, “Happy Day! God is Great!!
“Today, January 18 is the wedding anniversary of my mama and papa. What a great gift, my papa can now go home after his successful angioplasty 3 days ago. Thank you to my family, friends and everyone who prayed for my papa. He is now on his way to full recovery. To his doctors, Dr. Juanito Rodulfo his cardiologist, Dr. Remus Batilaran and his team, Dr. Miranda, his nephrologist Dr. Eric Santiago and the rest of his doctors. To the nurses who took good care of him in the telemetry and CathLab.
“God is merciful and I am forever greatful to him. I know from the start, He's in control”
