As the year of the wood snake come to an end, the year of the fire horse, 2026, enters with new fortunes and luck. On Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Feng Shui expert Architect Ka Kuen Chua shares which zodiac signs from the Chinese zodiac will be lucky or unlucky this year.

During the GMA Afternoon Prime talk show, Chua shared how feng shui differs from panghuhula or fortune telling.

He shared, “Ang Feng shui talaga is a 6,000-year-old concept from Chinese history. It's a placement, 'yung paglalagay ng gamit sa space natin, how to harvest the positive energy para maging healthy tayo, maging happy, maging wealthy, at abundant.”

Feng shui is also known as the practice of arranging the environment to create harmony and balance. It uses the five elements of fire, water, wood, metal, and earth, and aligns them to create balance.

According to Chua, 2026 is a year of extremes, which can be either positive or negative. He warned that, with the year filled with the fire element, strengthened by the wood element, and with no water element in sight, people need to be cautious and balance it by placing water in the center of their homes.

Chua also shared how people born from the twelve signs will fair this year in terms of love, career, and health.

People born in the year of the rat will have a windfall of luck this year, especially in terms of business.

However, for love and health, “Ang pag-ibig, medyo so-so lang, pero at least 'yung kanilang windfall, ang suwerte sa business ay tibang-tiba. Naka upo po sila against the horse. Every year, 'yung bawat zodiac, may kakontra. Unfortunately, ang kakontra ng horse is the rat. So he has to stay safe, medyo ingat lang sa kalusugan.”

Chua said that, like the people born in the year of the rat, those who are under the ox are one of the signs who will be lucky in business this year. They will also have more luck in terms of both love and literary star.

“So romance, masuwerte po sila sa pag-ibig. And maswerte po sila sa mga edukasyon so ang mga nag-aaral can harvest a lot of scholarships with lots of success,” Chua said.

People born in the year of the tiger will have the same luck as those born in the year of the ox. They have a slight advantage, though, because of the deity star, meaning a goddess will be protecting them this year.

Those born under the year of the rabbit also have a lot of success this year because of their leadership star. Additionally, “Ang mga rabbit person, surrounded sila by two auspicious stars so they have to take advantage, strike while the iron is hot, kilos ng kilos para ma-harvest natin ang success.”

Meanwhile, of the twelve signs in the Chinese Zodiac, Chua said that the two luckiest are those born in the year of the dragon and snake.

However, despite 2026 being the year of the fire horse, those born under the year of the horse need to be extra mindful this year because of what Chua calls the “three killings.”

He explained, “So ang three killings, kapag nakaupo ang three killings sa isang zodiac sign, those people belong to that sign, kailangan medyo mag-iingat kasi maraming negative things na darating. Medyo delikado ang horse this coming year.”

People born in the year of the sheep are under what Chua calls the “burglary star,” something that those under the year of the monkey share.

“The sheep and the monkey have the same star o medyo hawig 'yung kanila. For the year ng sheep, those people na born ng year of the sheep and monkey, they have to be careful sa burglary,” Chua said.

Despite the said star, those under the year of the sheep still has slight advantage because of the gold deity, or what Chua calls “heaven's luck.”

Those born under the year of the rooster should also be mindful, Chua warns, because they will be under the “quarrelsome star” this year. According to the feng shui expert, “'Pag nandiyan ang quarrelsome star, usually may mga kaso, may mga away, lawsuit, so medyo stay cool lang this year, steady lang.”

Despite this unlucky star, he said that people under the year of the rooster will still have great luck for business this year.

Chua warns people born in the year of the dog and boar to be more mindful of their health this year, as they will be more susceptible to sickness and ailments.

Chua reminded everyone that feng shui only acts as a guide. He added that people are free to believe what their fortune will be this year, based on this practice or not.
