
Filipino-American singer Sofronio Vasquez made it to the top 8 contestants of The Voice USA after showing his spectacular vocal talent.
The Misamis Occidental native performed Roy Orbison's "Crying" during Playoffs as part of Michael Buble's team.
The Grammy award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter couldn't help but feel proud of Sofronio as he gave his mentee a standing ovation after his impressive performance.
Sofronio took to social media to share his thoughts after advancing to the semifinals of the 26th season of The Voice USA.
He said, "I made it to TOP 8! Now it's in your hands America… Thank you coach @michaelbuble. Not wasting this chance! #TeamBublé all the way."
Meanwhile, GMA launched The Voice Kids last September 15. This is the first time this spin-off of The Voice airs on the Kapuso channel.
The Voice Kids Philippines airs every Sunday, 7:00 p.m. on GMA and Kapuso Stream.
