The veteran voice actor has been voicing characters in TV and the movies since 1999.

One of the most anticipated movies for next year is the animated sports comedy film, Space Jam: A New Legacy.

The movie is a sequel to the 1996 hit movie starring NBA legend Michael Jordan. The Chicago Bulls star just returned to playing basketball at the time after retiring temporarily to try baseball.

Space Jam added more hype to Jordan's comeback and it was a smash hit not just in the US but worldwide.

This time, Los Angeles Lakers main man LeBron James will top-bill the film co-produced by Warner Bros.

But the movie is not just about its basketball superstars of past and present.

Sharing top-billing credits are popular cartoon characters Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Pepé Le Pew, Marvin the Martian, among others.

And giving life to Bug Bunny is Filipino-Canadian voice actor Eric Bauza.

Actually, Eric is also lending his voice to Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, Tweety, and Pepe Le Pew - pretty much most of the beloved Looney Tunes crew in the movie.

Eric was born on December 7, 1979 in Ontario, Canada, and got his head start in the industry as a character designer.

Eric's impressive resume includes work as a voice actor for Scooby-Doo!, Tom and Jerry: Spy Quest, Smurfs: The Village, The Emoji Movie, Ben 10, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, and Avatar: The Last Airbender, among many others.

Talks of Eric's involvement in the project have been going around for quite some time now.

The veteran voice actor has been tight-lipped though for most of the time until it was finally confirmed recently that he was indeed onboard to do the movie.

“It's still a rumor and still up in the air,” Eric told The Morning Show in an interview last July.

“I definitely have been contributing scratch voiceover dialogue, which in the film making process, helps the filmmakers flesh out the story.

“I'm just there as they punch-up story points and jokes.”

As for voicing the iconic rabbit character, Eric had this to say: “There were definitely lots of people who auditioned.”

He added, “In this day and age, we have so many different reboots and reimaginings and all these new streaming channels.

“It's in such high demand that the vision changes from creator to creator, producer to producer.

“Sometimes, they have open-call auditions - and if it's a very drastic change, that's usually when Warner Brothers make that kind of decision to select some new blood."

Space Jam: A New Legacy will hit theaters in July 2021.

The movie will also be streamed on HBO Max in the US simultaneously with its theater debut as part of a deal between Warner Bros. and the pay television network.
