IVNFIL

Looking for a Filipino indie artist with quality sound? IVNFIL is your guy.

There's no doubt that the Filipino sound has indeed changed throughout the years as numerous artists have popped out of nowhere with their own unique flare. The entire Filipino music scene is far different than what it used to be and more people have shown appreciation for the talent that is Pinoy.

One of the newest indie-pop artists who didn't just simply hop on the fad is Ivan Emperador known by his stage name IVNFIL or jr. aori.

IVNFIL is a talented indie artist who released his first song during the onset of the pandemic. And it's not just any piece of music, his first work was an English/Korean indie-pop song titled, “지금도 널 생각해 I Still Think Of You.”

The current freshman college student has since then released quality music with the help of his older brother, Ethan, who co-writes his songs and serves as his director of photography for music videos; and his younger sister Ysabela 'Zaby” who was featured in his “to Come Home” music video and is his personal stylist as well.

IVNFIL recently released his new EP “CRXSSED OUT” which features a darker pop and r&b sound compared to his older music. His original songs “XNLY TRUST,” “CTRL FREAK,” “YOU SAY,” “weird eyes,” “FALLING OUT,” and “NEVER MET U” are included in the mini-album.

Although his talent is yet to be recognized by Filipinos, INVFIL has already gained international recognition when American-Korean singer Eric Nam featured his cover of “Runaway” in an interview with Glamour. Ivan's photo was even used for the video's thumbnail. Eric Nam saw the potential this kid had so why can't we right?

Check out how Eric Nam reacted to his cover in the video below.
