GMA's 'Firefly' is up for more film awards!
Firefly, the acclaimed movie produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs, is up for several awards at the 47th Gawad Urian.
The Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino released the full list of nominees for the upcoming Gawad Urian this June and Firefly found itself receiving nominations in 10 categories.
Firefly is nominated for Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Music. Zig Dulay is also looking to bring home the Best Director award.
Firefly was previously hailed Best Picture at the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival.
Meanwhile, Sparkle child actor Euwenn Mikaell vies for the Best Actor award.
Euwenn was recently nominated as Best Child Actor at this year's FAMAS Awards, following his win as "Most Popular Child Star" at the 2024 Guillermo Box Office Entertainment Awards. He will soon star in the TV series 'Forever Young.'

Firefly stars Alessandra de Rossi and Epy Quizon are likewise nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor, respectively.
The 47th Gawad Urian is taking place on June 8, 2024, in partnership with the De La Salle University, the Film Development Council of the Philippines, and TVUP.
