The product of AlDub Nation’s bayanihan has borne fruit as the first AlDub library opened today in Lumban Central Elementary School in Laguna.

The ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremony was aired in today’s kalye-serye segment of Eat Bulaga.

Anabelle Castro, the school principal, thanked the noontime show and its fans for providing its current 573 students and the succeeding generations with a venue to broaden their knowledge.

“[Kami po] ay taos-pusong at masayang nagpapasalamat sa Eat Bulaga, lalo [na sa] AlDub Nation. Kami po ang number one follower ng AlDub,” she said.

Castro also shared that it’s been a while since they’ve had an operational library in the school.

“Wala po talaga [kaming] library kasi kulang kami ng classroom. 'Yung dating library, ginagawa na ring classroom,” she added.

Last October, Eat Bulaga filled the 55,000-seater Philippine Arena for the Tamang Panahon event where love team Alden Richards and Maine ‘Yaya Dub’ Mendoza interacted without restrictions from Wally Bayola’s character Lola Nidora. The proceeds of the event are to be used to construct libraries in different parts of the country.
