Bianca King and Arthur Solinap play Xera and Eno, courageous warriors who struggle with their feelings in
Atlantika.
Bianca King has always been seen on TV as the popular, mean girl in school or the empowered woman who gives macho types a run for their money. In Atlantika, she proves to everyone that women can also be skilled warriors.
She's the only girl in the series who plays a "Senturyon," which is basically what they call soldiers in
Atlantika who are tasked to protect the Queen. Bianca says that the best thing about playing her character Xera is "Being the only girl who gets to kick ass!"
Bianca also trained for scuba diving, but she was already a diver even before the series started. "We trained in hand combat. All of the Atlantikans in the cast (also) went through diving, but I was already a certified scuba diver (even) before I knew I had the role."
Playing Xera's love interest is Eno, portrayed by Arthur Solinap. "Pero bawal kasing magkaroon ng kasintahan pag naging Senturyon, so medyo conflict 'yung role," explains Arthur.
He continues, "(His) love interest is Bianca, tapos nagkagusto ako kay Elisa (Valerie Concepcion). Pero 'yung kasintahan ko talaga, si Bianca."
Arthur says that the best thing about being in
Atlantika is having the underwater scenes. "Challenging para sa akin kasi dati, may fear of water ako, e." But he quickly overcame his fear, especially with the intensive scuba training that he underwent along with the rest of the cast.
Bianca also says that there will a lot of complicated fight scenes to watch out for, and some of them will be underwater.
