Styling tips for men this rainy season
For those who want to join male pageants in the future, Jason shared some tips to prepare yourself for the rigors and stress of all the activities.
In terms of physically preparing for it, Jason stressed that one should stay focus on staying fit.
The promising model explained, “I am a foodie and I train every day. Every after a workout, I would often eat to allow my body to recover. When I started to join the pageant, it was such a temptation to stop working out and with all the events we had to go to, there were so much dining activities.”
“It was easy to get diverted in just allowing yourself to eat and stop your workout regimen. You have to focus and discipline yourself to keep yourself on track but it's also okay to indulge once in a while.”
Jason Tan also admitted that mentally preparing for a male pageant was challenging for him.
He added that after joining Mr. and Mrs. Chinatown, he has a 'newfound respect' to individuals who decide to compete in it.
“Mentally, I don't know if I was built to join pageants. Never thought I would join one but after experiencing it for myself,”
“I have a newfound admiration for pageant contestants. It takes guts to be in front of so many people. You just have to have this certain mental toughness to take criticism and likewise, to never allow fame to get through your head.”
