Ang sexy actress na si Francine Prieto ay isa sa mga siguradong aabangan ng mga Kapuso viewers this new year.
As expected, it was a busy 2009 for one of Kapuso Network's hot character actresses, Francine Prieto. And her fans are definitely expecting more from this statuesque beauty this coming year. Text by Erick Mataverde. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio. Francine Prieto has been one of our most prolific Kapuso beauties who has had a busy year. From her regular appearances sa Bubble Gang to her roles in Codename: Asero, Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang at Sana Ngayong Pasko, she has once more proven her versatility sa pag-arte. And very thankful din naman siya that she was included in one of GMA Network's most successful prime time offerings. In Darna, she felt fortunate enough to have portrayed a character of substance that, Francine knows, has largely contributed to the show's popularity, and, at the same time is very timely sa mga nakaraan na kalamidad that we have experienced this year. "Pagdating ni [Lucifera ang] Babaeng Tuod sa Darna, nagbigay aral siya sa mga viewers lalo na't ang concern niya talaga ay ‘wag wasakin ang kalikasan at 'yun ang matinding problema na kinakaharap natin sa ngayon," Francine recalled. "Maaaring masama siya dahil pumapatay siya - pero ang poot niya ay may pinanggalingan. Para siyang si Mother Earth na nanenermon sa mga tao." Francine's fantasy Naging big break kay Francine nang makasama siya sa Etheria at ang ikalawang aklat ng Encantadia bilang si Queen Avria. Sa totoo lang, she admits, that itong fantasy series ng GMA ang pinaka enjoy niyang gawin. "Sobrang enjoy ako gampanan ang mga ganitong klaseng roles kasi ang sarap sarap paglaruan, at ang sarap sarap i-arte." revealed Francine. And, true to her dedication sa kanyang career, hindi lang naman niya kinakalimutan that her work does not start only when the cameras roll. "Sa bawat roles na ginagawa ko naman – kahit character roles siya – iba't ibang atake ang ginagawa ko at nagreresearch pa ako para pwede ko idagdag sa pagkatao ng bawat character ko. Malaking pagkakaiba sa regular soaps, dahil maraming special effects pag Telefantasya, naka-costumes at may mga super powers ka, unlike pag normal na tao ka lang." Sa ngayon ay aabangan natin ang susunod na project ni Francine with eagerness, dahil alam naman natin na kakaibang excitement din para sa mga fans niya. And Francine confesses na game naman siya in whatever role she accepts to play. "Honestly, hindi naman ako mapili sa role, ‘wag lang may kasamang swimmimg, kasi nagpapanic talaga ako sa water, pero kahit na ilambitin pa ako - walang problema." Francine admits, though she explains. "Kung Telefantasya ulit, go!, Kung drama? Why not? Mahirap din 'yun – parang buong energy ng katawan mo nauubos sa mga eksena. Sana ibalik ulit nila ang mga comedy sitcoms, kasi magaling ang GMA sa comedy eh, marami silang magagaling na mga artista at script writers ng sitcoms. Ok din ako sa talk show para maiba naman."
