Frankie Pangilinan has confirmed that she is in a relationship with Dan Laurel after months of reports referring to him as her “rumored boyfriend.”
During a YouTube interview with Ogie Diaz, Frankie recalled seeing stories about her love life and found it amusing that publications continued to describe Dan as her “rumored” or “alleged” boyfriend.
According to Frankie, she had never actually been given the chance to address the speculation directly.
“I saw the articles that came out, and they were saying 'rumored boyfriend' or 'alleged,' But no one actually asked me to confirm," she said in Filipino
She pointed out that some of the reports even mentioned that she had yet to confirm their relationship.
“The articles kept saying that I had not confirmed anything, but no one had actually asked me," she reiterated.
Instead of making a formal announcement, the daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Senator Francis Pangilinan appeared to have fun with the speculation. When Dan celebrated his birthday in May, Frankie greeted him on Instagram and playfully referred to him as her “rumored boyfriend.”
Now addressing the matter more directly, Frankie described Dan as “wonderful.”
Dan is the great-grandson of former Philippine President Jose P. Laurel.
Frankie also shared that her parents support their relationship, although her mother appears to be more enthusiastic about the new romance.
“More than anything, they're excited for me. Of course, Mom is more excited than Dad. Dad is still a little strict.”
