Frankie announced the news on Instagram on September 23.

She wrote, “Local businesses need our help now more than ever. The pandemic has taken so many livelihoods and deprived people of opportunities.”

She also clarified that endorsing such brands are for free.

“None of these posts will ever be sponsored/paid for, these will all be items either sent to me without contractual obligation or purchased with my own money.

“All 100% local and most are sustainably + ethically sourced. If you see me advertising a product without the #NaKakieLokal tag, then that's paid for,” she added.

hi guys! i'm starting a new series of posts called #NaKakieLokal to support a bunch of local brands i love that i hope you can check out. local businesses need our help now more than ever. the pandemic has taken so many livelihoods and deprived people of opportunities. none of these posts will ever be sponsored/paid for, these will all be items either sent to me without contractual obligation or purchased with my own money. all 100% local and most are sustainably + ethically sourced. if you see me advertising a product without the #NaKakieLokal tag, then that's paid for tho 😙 first we have @colourette.cosmetics -- i'm wearing their colourtint in the shade “ocean”❣️ don't be deterred by the “oil-tint” description, the formula doesn't move around foundation or concealer and it's pigmented, smooth, and blends in super well. i'm wearing it here on both my lips and cheeks! next we have @sunnylabel who make candles and dried flowers 🥺 they sent me two of their lavender candles and i've lit one it smells soooo good. the tag explains their business better than i ever can but i wholly appreciate their commitment towards sustainable and ethical practices and i can't wait to purchase more from them as soon as my candles have burnt out. all the love, kakie

Meanwhile, the 19-year-old daughter of Senator Francis Pangilinan and Megastar Sharon Cuneta has been drawing attention on social media for her strong views on various social and political issues.

Although she receives a lot of support from netizens, her strong remarks in the past have also made her a target of trolls.

One criticism that was being thrown at her was that she's born into privilege and that she wouldn't be able to relate to the plight of the common people.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, she clarified that despite her privilege, her parents taught her to stay grounded and aware of the harsh realities of life.

“My parents fully raised us like in anticipation, na they didn't want us to be like spoiled bratty kids, you know. I'm not calling anyone a spoiled bratty kid but I just know that it's something they didn't want us to be.

"So, it was a priority talaga for them to like make sure that we were as immersed in our own culture as we could be,” she said.
