
South Korean agency Galaxy Corporation has officially announced legal action against those responsible for spreading harmful and false information about K-pop icon G-DRAGON.
According to Soompi, the agency emphasized its commitment to holding individuals accountable for defamation and malicious online posts.
"This is a serious issue that goes beyond mere opinions, as it severely damages the artist's reputation and causes confusion among fans and the public due to false information," Galaxy Corporation stated in Korean.
"We take these malicious actions very seriously and will be taking strong legal action. Spreading false information, defamation, insults, and invasion of privacy are clear illegal acts, and we strongly warn that such actions may result in legal penalties under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection as well as the Criminal Act."
Galaxy Corporation also shared its continuous monitoring of online communities and social media platforms to collect relevant evidence and reports from G-DRAGON's fans. They also encouraged fans to continue reporting any violations of the K-pop star's rights through their official email (protect@galaxyuniverse.ai)
"We want to make it clear that we will respond firmly without any compromise or leniency regarding the spread of false information and defamation. We will continue to monitor and take action to protect our artist's rights to the best of our ability. We sincerely thank all the fans for your unwavering love and support for our artist," they concluded.
