Gab is the son of Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano and Angeli Pangilinan.

His parents sent their well-wishes to Gab via Instagram. Angeli, who is currently in Los Angeles, got teary-eyed after reading her son's post.

She said, “I read every single message in this thread as I just woke up here in LA and cried. And I want to tell you Papa and I have been praying for you and I know you're going to come out of this stronger and wiser. We love you Gab and know that God's destiny for you is greater that you can ever imagine.”

Meanwhile, celebrities like Rocco Nacino, Daryl Ong, Jaya and Ogie Alcasid also wished for the fast recovery of Gab Valenciano.

Early this year, Gab also talked about the challenges he had to endure in 2018. He even revealed hitting rock bottom, which drastically affected his weight.

“I hit rock bottom. 145lbs vs 171lbs. March vs June. Lost vs found. It was the darkest and most painful time of my life. I kept in so much that one day, I imploded and tried to hurt myself to numb myself of the pain, disappointment, uncertainty, doubt and fear.

“I am sharing this post to show you that there will always be hope and that you are not alone. That the light at the end of the tunnel will keep shining,”
