The cast of 'My Father's Wife' spent some time together by playing pickleball.
Kapuso actor Gabby Concepcion and Jak Roberto took a break from their heavy scenes in the hit afternoon serye My Father's Wife to relax and play some pickleball.
This paddle sport that has been popular for sometime now was a good opportunity for the cast to bond together outside their shoot.
GMANetwork.com got an exclusive invite to join Gabby, Jak, Kazel Kinouchi, Maureen Larrazabal, and Andre Paras last July 9 as they bond over playing pickleball in San Juan City.
In a chat with Jak, who plays Gerald in the GMA Drama series, he stressed the importance of doing this kind of activity to foster their camaraderie in the show.
“Actually, galing kami sa taping kagabi. Pack-up kami medyo late na rin, pero matagal na namin sinet ito. Si Kuya Gab [Gabby Concepcion] eager talaga to invite us na maglaro ng pickleball,” Jak shared.
He continued, “Ako wala ako experience, first time ko, dito ko na lahat natutunan. Even 'yung mga rules pina-familiarize ko pa lang din. So sabi ni Kuya Gab, sige wala 'yan. Pumunta ka lang dun, tuturuan kita, papahiramin kita ng raketa, laro lang tayo, papawis, ganyan.
“Bonding na rin, mahalaga 'yung bonding because tingnan mo, mas lalong nagiging tight 'yung samahan namin. Kumbaga, may mga ganitong pagkakataon na nagkakasama kami. So, may chance kami makipagkuwentuhan, makapagkape, makapag-aro. Ang sarap din parang after ng mga heavy scenes, pagpag lang.”
Gabby has been playing pickleball for three months already and he stated that playing this sport is a good chance for all of them on My Father's Wife to get to know each other.
“Kaya nakasama natin ito para ma-break natin 'yung ice, para hindi naman puro trabaho.
“So, kasama natin sila ngayon to get to know each other better. Although, 'pag nasa set masaya na kami. Kaya kami nagkakumbidahan dito para naman mare-relax kami dun sa mga tension ng mga eksena. Ito naman puro relax lang.”
