The news of Lourdes Arellano's passing was announced by Gabby Concepcion's daughter, KC.
Lourdes Arellano, the mother of Kapuso actor Gabby Concepcion, passed away on Monday, August 10.
She was 79 years old.
Gabby's daughter, KC Concepcion, announced the sad news of Lourdes's passing via Instagram.
She said, "My last living biological grandparent passed this morning.
"Thank you for always remind us of our family tree and for always keeping me close to the family, mommyla.
"I love you and I will remember you and daddylo forever. #Arellano #JuanArellano."
KC attached a photo of her together with Gabby and Lourdes.
Several celebrities and personalities sent their message of condolences to the grieving family.
Model Rissa Mananquil-Trillo wrote, "I'm so sorry for your loss, KC. My deepest condolences and prayers for you and your family."
Cristalle Belo added, "Condolences kace! Sending my angels to comfort you and your family for your loss."

Lourdes was the granddaughter of painter Juan Arellano.
Gabby related his family tree to his fans on Instagram with a photo of KC and her great great grandfather.
He said, “How we are related to Juan Arellano (painter) Tree: Juan Arellano father of Oscar Arellano, father of Ma. Lourdes A. Concepcion, mother of Gabriel Arellano Concepcion, father of Kristina Cassandra Cuneta Concepcion.”
