Starting February 14, the multi-talented tandem of Sef Cadayona and Andre Paras will invade Sunday primetime via their new game show Game of the Gens on GMA News TV!
An original concept of the GMA Entertainment Group, Game of the Gens is the game show for all generations. And joining them are the talented Miss Tres or the Gen Dolls composed of Mariko, Crissy, and Mariel.
The stunning triplet are former contestants of Britain's Got Talent in 2018.
During a recent media conference, GMANetwork.com asked the show's program manager, Ms. Enri Calaycay, how they adjusted to the strict health protocols being implemented to keep everyone safe during tapings.
Ms. Enri replied, “I think nakapag-adjust na.
Lalo na 'pag sa live show like for example sa All Out Sundays, lalo na pag-live di ba, so mas lalong nagkakalimutan pagka nagru-rush ka na, nafi-feel mo 'yung adrenaline.
“Lagi naman may taga-remind sa amin, sa studio. Meron kami mga officers to keep on reminding us na. 'Yun lang naman 'yung nabago, but the rest we are okay, naka-adjust na po 'yung mga tao.”
But the GMA-7 lady boss admitted that they miss having studio audience members around during their taping, which is a lot of help in keeping the energy of the program.
She noted, “Mas okey sana kung may audience kami sa studio na nonood, kasi iba rin 'yung energy. Malaking tulong kapag meron kang audience dun, they cheer you up, naririnig mo instantly 'yung reaksyon nila 'pag nakakatawa.
“Nakikita mo yung din reaksyon, 'Ay, okey, nae-enjoy nila 'yung part na 'to'
“Kami rin as producers, mas madali rin for us to make our checklist kami na, okey itong mga points na to”
The entertainment press also asked Ms. Enri Calaycay if Sef Cadayona and Andre Paras were handpicked as the host of the new GNTV game show.
She said yes. Creative consultant Loi Landicho also discussed the main reason the network chose these amazing comedians to become the GOTG hosts.
Sir Loi explained, “'Yung concept bagay sa kanila, naghahanap kami nang ide-develop na host, so ang bilis--it has to be Sef and Andre, wala ng isip-isip pa as in bagay sila sa konsepto, so madali 'yung pagkakapili nila,”
“Sobrang kulit ng dalawa. First taping pa lang parang 'di siya pilot, sobrang gaan ng trabaho, ang bilis noong taping. Konti lang 'yung problema, so perfect choice talaga 'yung dalawa.”
Sef Cadayona and Andre Paras were extremely excited that their home network gave them the opportunity to become the main hosts of this all-original Kapuso game show.
For his part, Andre said that people will enjoy their friendly banter on screen.
He said, “Pagdating dito sa hosting, this is who we are as individuals and I'm very happy to share the stage with Sef, tapos 'yung aming Gen Dolls--The Miss Tres, kasi sobrang kulit po namin.
“I'm not being too confident, but I'm being honest, if we are allowed kung puwede lang na magka-audience ngayon you're gonna see gaano kami sobrang kakulit sa stage, kung paano 'yung engagement namin with one another.”
Award-winning comedian Sef added, “So far nagco-complement kami ni Andre--height wise [laughs].
“We have something to laugh about, but for me magkaiba man kami ng attitude pero 'yung energy namin toward the show parehas,”
