Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju announced on Tuesday, April 14, that he is already cleared from the 2019 coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In the HBO series Kristofer played the role of Tormund Giantsbane, a renowned warrior and raider among the Free Folk or the people who live in the lands beyond the Wall on the continent of Westeros.
He also revealed that his wife Gry Molvær Hivju, who is also a COVID-19 positive person, has also recovered from the virus.
“Hi! We are fully recovered and in good health after I was infected by the Coronavirus, and most likely my wife Gry Molvær Hivju,” he wrote on Instagram.
“After several weeks in quarantine, and also a couple more indoors after being free of all symptoms, we are finally safe and sound.
"We were lucky to only have mild symptoms of the Covid 19,” the actor added.
The couple also sent their well-wishes for the people who were critically hit by the disease.
“We send our love and thoughts to all of the people where the virus has hit much harder, and to everyone who has lost their loved ones due to the Coronavirus.
“Thank you for all of your support, and please remember to stay vigilant and keep your distance, wash your hands, and most of all; take care of each other in this strange time,” Kristofer said.
The Norwegian actor revealed he tested positive for the coronavirus disease earlier in March.
He is one of the latest Hollywood celebrities who has recovered from the deadly infection.
