Kapuso balladeer Garrett Bolden has reached the finale of his month-long stint in Miss Saigon Guam's theater production under World Theater Productions.
In an exclusive interview with GMA Network, he said, "Actually po since I came back home, excited ako and masaya na nakauwi na ako pero meron ring parang separation anxiety because isang buwan na magkasama kaming lahat during rehearsals until our shows.
He added, "Ngayon, back to normal na so medyo naninibago ako. Malungkot na masaya."
Aside from missing being onstage, Garrett treasures the friendships he made with the cast and crew. "They're all from different places, may taga US, Singapore, Hong Kong. Naging kaibigan ko naman po silang lahat.
"Kahit sa iba't ibang lugar kami galing, nag-complement 'yung mga ugali namin sa isa't isa and they helped me with a lot with my scenes kasi may experience na sila sa teatro."
His role as American soldier John Thomas marks his debut as a theater actor--something he never saw coming. "It's something na hindi ko in-expect na gagawin ko this year, 'yung musical theater, at ang umpisa ko pa sa musical theater is Miss Saigon."
Garrett revealed, "Siguro po isa sa mga natutunan ko rin is kaya ko pala mag-theater acting, kaya ko pala umarte at kumanta."
Now that he's officially began his theater acting career, Garrett feels more fueled to pursue roles in acting and theater.
"When I sing here, I usually sing na kailangan malinis at maayos. Doon kasi when it comes to theater plays, importanteng maayos but what's important din is ma-deliver 'yung message ng scenario or eksena.
"Natutunan ko na kaya ko palang gawin 'yun and excited akong mai-apply pagbalik ko sa All-Out Sundays and future events and projects na gagawin ko."
