Garrett Bolden has landed a lead role in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast: The Broadway Musical" in Guam, where he is set to play the Beast.
The Kapuso Soul Balladeer shared the good news on Instagram, sharing his excitement to take on a new theater project following his Miss Saigon stint in September 2022.
"A dream indeed! Thank you for this opportunity [World Theater Productions]. I can't wait to take on one of Disney's classic characters and story, and I'm sure I would learn a lot and it would be another experience I would never forget," he wrote.
Garrett continued, "When I joined the cast of Miss Saigon Guam last year, the experience was full of joy, tears, and excitement. But I must admit I got nervous at first. The pressure and excitement, learning the lines, songs, blockings, etc., it was hard.
"But during our last curtain call I cried like a baby. It was an awakening... I knew on that moment that I would do anything to do theatre again. So when I heard that they would do Beauty and The Beast this year, I auditioned, and now... I'm playing lead as the Beast!
Garrett also expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported and believed in him and promised to continue to make everyone proud.
Meanwhile, Garrett has released his own version of Kris Lawrence's hit classic song "Kung Malaya Lang Ako," giving it a fresh twist for his new single under GMA Music.
