After revealing his recent difficulties from his health condition, celebrity-musician Gary Valenciano announced that he is now cancer-free.

Gary has been battling diabetes and a heart condition and recently, cancer cells in his kidney. Fortunately, the cancer cells have been successfully removed by his doctors through chemotherapy and radiation.

His wife, Angeli Pangilinan also took to Instagram to share his healing journey.

 

For 34 years, I have lived with a man who has had Type 1 diabetes for 39 years. Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes are very different ailments. Type 1 is severe and requires daily insulin-dependence. 26 years of multiple daily injections and 13 years attached to an insulin pump through a tube installed every three days. Few know the daily battles we have faced, him especially, but many knew he was complication-free for 39 years. His organs were healthy and he would bike to Abscbn for ASAP from Antipolo and to MOA Arena from Abscbn! Then these nonstop medical challenges for 6 weeks happened! And today we can say Gary remains standing! No weapon formed against him will prosper ! He truly is a living miracle. After his coronary bypass on May 6 which gave him a new heart, he is now also a cancer survivor after another surgery on June 13! The battle is the Lord’s, the victory is ours in Christ Jesus! Throughout our marriage, God’s Word has sustained us and kept us together despite our many trials. Thank you for your prayers! May the Lord bless all of you for the love you pour upon us.
