Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados uses her social media influence into good use by advocating her cause to protect the environment.

EXCLUSIVE: Gazini Ganados, "I'm not gonna be Catriona, I'm just gonna be Gazini."

On her latest Instagram post, Gazini shared to her more than 700,000 followers the importance of the world oceans to our lives.

She wrote, "The experience was visceral and emotive. I am always hungry to learn, and the ocean was a great teacher.

"When I went exploring the ocean on a deeper level I was reminded that breathing is a blessing and that the most major take away for me is that the ocean deserves respect." says Gazini about her scuba diving experience.

The morena beauty queen went on to stress the importance of conserving our oceans and to limit the impact of human consumption and pollution.

"Coral reefs and all the ecosystems in the ocean and on Earth are magical places. Humans tread where we want, take what we want, and disregard what lies outside of our interests.

"I think of all the people unaware and apathetic about the impact of consumption and pollution on the oceanic ecosystems.

"I think of these things and feel compelled to behave better as an individual, as well as contribute to the grander scale of environmental protection and sustainability."
