Ex-married couple Geneva Cruz and KC Montero reminisced on their love story on It's Showtime's "Especially For You."

Before the singer-actress met the searchees for the segment, Vice asked Geneva and KC to recount their love story.

According to Geneva, she first met KC when she was 24 and he was 23 and her annulment with Paco Arespacochaga was ongoing that time.

"I met him siguro mga four months later kasama ko yung mga kaibigan ko... sa isang club sa Quezon City," she said.

Geneva described KC as "this cool dude na from the States na friendly."

KC was fresh from the States and said he wasn't aware at first that Geneva was an artist.

"I think, the first time I saw her, baka doon sa bar, pero after that narealize ko na siya din 'yung artist sa SOP na singer... Aliw na aliw ako sa kanya. 'Yung talent niya parang 'wow,'" KC recounted.

The two then started hanging out after their interaction. KC added that Geneva used to drive him around since he had no license yet.

"Wala pa siyang kilala noon sa Pilipinas masyado. So, I felt like he needed a friend also. 'Tapos, na-develop lang din na parang halos araw-araw nagkikita kami. Hindi siya nahihiya. He felt comfortable around me," Geneva said.

When asked about her most memorable moment with KC, Geneva said it was when he first met her then three-and-a-half-year-old son Heaven.

"Kahit sinong single mom naman tatatak 'yung ganong klaseng memory. Kasi may suitors [ako] pero si KC lang talaga 'yung nagustuhan ko. Tapos pinayagan ko siya na ipakilala na siya kay Heaven," Geneva explained.

Geneva and KC got married in the US. The two were together for a decade before going their separate ways.
