Geneva Cruz and Sunshine Cruz's relationship is truly enviable as their bond is getting closer through the years, making them a loveable pair.

Just like in romantic relationships, trust is what strengthens their bond as friends and cousins, Geneva said in her Instagram post on Monday, January 11, alongside photos of them showing they are enjoying their trip to Tagaytay.

Quoting Nepalese poet, writer, and researcher Santosh Kalwar, the elder Cruz began, "#Trust starts with truth and ends with truth.”

She continued, "The kind of relationship I have with @sunshinecruz718 revolves around honesty as we always choose to seek the truth about anything -- whether it be about she and I; or other people."

Being firm and honest as she can, Geneva didn't sugarcoat things when it comes to dealing with people who talk behind her and Sunshine's back.

She said, "We both grew up in show business, and we are cognizant as to how some people could be nice to you when you're in front of them, and then would immediately badmouth you the moment you leave the room. It is not our cup of tea to bullsh*t people, that's why we try our best to keep it real."

Geneva then added, "There are only a few people I trust in this world, and Shine is one of them. Thank you for trusting me too, cous!

"I love you, and see you on Friday!"

Geneva and Sunshine are also cousins with fellow singer-actresses Donna Cruz and Sheryl Cruz.

Donna, whose career peaked in the '90s, is now based in Cebu and is living with her husband and kids.

Sheryl, on the other hand, became popular in the late '70s as a child star. Just like Sunshine, Sheryl is still active in showbiz and is part of GMA's Afternoon Prime drama titled Magkaagaw. Meanwhile, Geneva does guest appearances on TV and continues her singing career by performing in events.

Despite their past rift, Geneva, Sunshine, and Donna denied the allegations that they are not on good terms with Sheryl when the three posted an identical photo of them without the latter last May, citing Sheryl's hectic schedule as the reason for her absence when the photo was taken.

In fact, the four Cruzes reunited last June virtually for a musical collaboration.
