Actor Gerald Anderson takes on a meaningful new role as he headlines Pusong Bayani, a reality series that brings attention to the lives of Filipino fisherfolk and coastal communities affected by the situation in the West Philippine Sea.
Moving beyond traditional storytelling, the series follows Gerald as he immerses himself in the daily realities of communities whose livelihoods are shaped by the ongoing challenges in the area. Through their personal stories, Pusong Bayani aims to showcase resilience, courage, and the everyday acts of heroism of ordinary Filipinos.
Produced by Hot and Fresh Productions in partnership with the Center for Information Resilience and Integrity Studies (CIRIS), the series seeks to present patriotism through human-centered storytelling, allowing viewers to understand the issue through the experiences of those directly affected.
Joining Gerald in the journey are beauty queen and marine conservation advocate Pauline Amelinckx, actor Argel Saycon, and content creator Gifer Fernandez.
Pusong Bayani will stream this August on its official Facebook page and YouTube channel.
