The fight for justice continues for Filipino singer Gerald Santos regarding his previously disclosed details on sexual abuse.

In an interview with Aiko Melendez, the singer-actor shared updates on the issue that peaked last year.

"Unfortunately, meron mga bagay na unexpected na nangyari," he stated. "Na-delay nang na-delay 'yung supposed to be na dapat na gagawing aksyon. I don't wanna go in to details na about it na."

Currently, Gerald looks for a new lawyer, wishing for someone willing to help and with lesser demands, such as the appearance fee

"Kasi, hindi talaga biro ang mag-file ng case. It's gonna be a long battle, we all know that po," he said.

With support from friends and loved ones, the singer added he's "close to having a new one."

Gerald then promises to continue the fight as it now holds a deeper purpose. Since he came forward with his story, several other artists have also spoken out, sharing their own experiences of being victimized by the same alleged perpetrator.

"Sabi ko, 'Ay, hindi ko na nga ito laban lang.' Kasi, hindi natin alam baka may binibiktima pa rin siya. So, kailangan matigil na iyon," he stated.

"'Pag ka ito pinursue ko and eventually sana maipanalo, magkakaroon 'to ng stern warning dito sa mga taong katulad nito na hindi na pwede 'yung ganitong ginagawa n'yo. Ngayon magsasalita na talaga 'yung mga tao. Hindi na ipagkikibit balikat lang 'yung mga pangyayari."

Last year, Gerald disclosed details of the 2005 incident during the hearing of the Senate Committee on Public Information and Mass Media. It was at the time the committee was investigating a sexual harassment complaint in the entertainment industry.
