Clips of singer Gigi de Lana's recent performance in Samal, Davao del Norte have been circulating on social media, following footage of her collapsing after the show.

In a social media update on Monday, March 8, Gigi's management, Tritone Entertainment, shared news regarding the singer's condition and the details of what happened during the performance.

According to them, many have been sending messages asking about Gigi's status, and they expressed gratitude for the overwhelming concern and support for the singer.

“To everyone who has been sending messages and asking about Gigi, thank you so much for your love and concern,” the management wrote in their post.

They also shared that her collapse was caused by extreme exhaustion, but she was given immediate medical attention.

Consequently, the singer is now in “safe” and “stable” condition and is currently continuing her rest.

“After her performance last night in Samal Island City, Davao Del Norte, Gigi experienced extreme fatigue and briefly passed out after her final song,” they wrote.

“She was given immediate attention and care, and we're grateful to share that she is now safe, stable, and currently resting,” they added.

Gigi's management also emphasized the singer's deep commitment to her performance and to entertaining the audience at the time, which they say reflects her “deep respect” and “professionalism.”

“Despite not feeling well, Gigi still chose to honor her commitment and perform for everyone who came to see her. This reflects the deep respect and professionalism she has for her audience,” they expressed.

They concluded their statement by expressing gratitude for the prayers, messages, and support sent to Gigi, while requesting continued understanding as the singer requires rest for a speedy recovery.

“We sincerely appreciate all the prayers, messages, and support you've been sending. For now, our priority is making sure she gets the rest and recovery she needs. Thank you for your continued love and understanding,” they wrote.

This incident follows a similar scare in May 2023, when de Lana fainted during a show in Ilocos Norte and had to be assisted offstage by medics.

These health challenges come as Gigi has also opened up about her personal struggles with an eating disorder.
