Kapuso couple Gil Cuerva and Lexi Gonzales served kilig vibes to netizens as they shared the story of how they first met each other.
In a recent video by When In Manila, Gil revealed that he and Lexi met each other for the first time during the latter's guest appearance in the lifestyle show Taste Buddies, which he co-hosted with actress-model Solenn Heussaff, in 2020.
“Right before the pandemic, February 2020, she guested on Taste Buddies pero noong time na 'yon, wala pa talaga. She was just a guest and I was going through like a really sad, soft boy, break up phase [laughs] and she got to see it. So it's kind of embarrassing. She saw me in my most unglamorous [moment],” the Filipino-Spanish actor-model revealed.
According to the StarStruck Season 7 First Princess, she didn't seem to notice that Gil was going through a heartbreak as she was talking to someone else at that time.
“I was a bit distracted also parang hindi ko rin napansin na sobrang heartbroken siya at that time kasi I was talking to someone else pa noong time na 'yon. So magkalayo kami, although, I found him cute naman na that time,” she shared.
Gil said, “Bola, bola lang [laughs].” He added, “That's technically the first time we met.”
In an episode of Mars Pa More in May 2022, the Kapuso actress revealed that she made the first move to Gil after her guest appearance in Taste Buddies.
In January, Lexi confirmed in a podcast episode of Updated with Nelson Canlas that she and Gil are in an official relationship.
Prior to this revelation, Lexi and Gil brought kilig vibes on social media after the actress-singer posted their photo together with the caption, “My 2022 plot twist.”
