Solenn Heussaff and Gil Cuerva both won as the Best Lifestyle Show hosts and their show 'Taste Buddies' bagged the Best Lifestyle Show award, too.
Model, actor and TV host Gil Cuerva stressed that his win as the Best Lifestyle Show Host for Taste Buddies in the recently concluded 34th PMPC Star Awards For Television is dedicated to the brilliant team behind their GTV show.
Gil and Solenn Heussaff both won as the Best Lifestyle Show hosts, while the show scored the Best Lifestyle Show award as well.
During his interview with GMANetwork.com in the virtual media conference of Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko for their new episode “Oh My Oppa,” the Kapuso star admitted that winning the award is a lot more meaningful, since we are still in the middle of crazy COVID-19 pandemic.
He said, “Definitely more meaningful and honestly, if anything, I'm very grateful siyempre not just for myself, but for the team, kasi 'yun nga as I said, lalo na noong March- April last year we weren't so sure. Reruns pa lang 'yung ini-air and then even, when we started sa taping puro work from home.”
Gil further explained, “So, it was a bit difficult siyempre, you only have one camera to work with ikaw lang magsho-shoot and all. To be able to win this award, I think it really gives a lot of meaning, because a lot of people have been working even especially harder with this pandemic, out of the fear of the unknown.”
“Kung ano 'yung mangyayari next, will they have a job or not. That's why I kept saying that I'm really, really happy for the team, because I know how hard naman the team works for this show.”
The Kapuso model is also staying positive that things will eventually turn to normal. “I'm really happy that we were able to win an award in the middle of the pandemic, hopefully with things slowly getting better we can produce better content, better shows, better episodes for the Kapuso viewers and hopefully go back to normal.”
