Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel

After 25 years, 'Gilmore Girls' stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel finally reunited at the 2025 Emmys.

Lorelai and Rory are officially back!

For the 25th anniversary of the 2000 hit series Gilmore Girls, fans were in for a treat as Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel reunited at the 2025 Emmy Awards.

Lauren and Alexis, who famously portrayed mother and daughter Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, brought Stars Hollow to the Emmys as they appeared on their iconic front porch set while presenting the Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series award.

During their segment, Lauren reflected, “Twenty-five years ago, a show called Gilmore Girls premiered and, apparently, took the season of fall hostage,” while Alexis noted that, “In spite of our autumnal dominance, Gilmore Girls was actually a very small show.”

The actress joked, “Meaning we had no money.”

“If there was a birthday at The Drew Carrey Show next door, they would send us their leftover sheet cake,” she added.

Alexis also made the crowd laugh when she said that the show's cast “looked hungry.”

"We saved up all year long to have one snow episode," she continued.

"And then ER would wet down their street and wash it all way," Lauren responded, but Alexis told her "you have got to let that go."

Adding more humor to their banter, Lauren said, "They had [George] Clooney, they could have let us have the damn snow."

The actresses also looked back on their filming days, recalling their “terrifying lengthy scripts,” which they praised for the show.

After their much-awaited reunion, fans could not help but feel sentimental, noting that Lauren and Alexis still captured the humor of their roles as Lorelai and Rory.

Gilmore Girls originally aired in 2000, following the lives of Lorelai and Rory in the small town of Stars Hollow.

The long-running series ended after seven seasons in 2007. However, in 2016, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life aired as a limited series when Netflix revived the beloved show.
