Girls Generation

K-pop girl group Girls' Generation is releasing new music after five years.

Korean girl group Girls' Generation is coming back with a new album this August!

On July 25, the group officially announced the details of their comeback with a teaser saying "Coming soon" posted on their official social media pages.

The group's official Instagram also shows a story that says the group will release a full-length album, FOREVER 1, on August 8.

FOREVER 1 will be the Girls' Generation's seventh album and will feature 10 tracks, according to the group's label SM Entertainment.

Their comeback coincides with their 15th anniversary since their debut on August 5, 2007.

It will mark the girls' first full-group return as an eight-member band in almost five years. Their sixth LP, Holiday Night, was released in August 2017.

Girls' Generation debuted in 2007 as a nine-member group, with former member Jessica Jung leaving in 2014. They are known as one of the top all-female Korean idol groups with hits including "Gee," "Genie," "The Boys," and "Lion Heart."

In 2019, members Seohyun, Sooyoung, and Tiffany announced they would be leaving SM Entertainment to pursue solo projects but will remain part of Girls' Generation.

Recently, the members of Girls' Generation also reunited for their own variety show Soshi Tam Tam.
