With wars going on, seeing a whole generation know nothing except how to make Mr. Vuitton et al rich while their countrymen starve, and the prospect of a real selfless working government getting bleaker and bleaker, it gets harder and harder to keep my spirits up.
Good thing there are sites that I can visit that have none of the bad tidings that news brings, none of the vain, selfish, me-me-me-ness that the magazines some sections of the newspapers espouse, and none of the vicious, albeit hillarious attacks on fashion, style, and life choices that the celebrity blogs (that I admit I'm addicted to) have. One of them is www.cuteoverload.com, which features nothing but animals big and small in all their cute glory. Here, I've enriched my vocabulary with words like snorgling (not the same as snogging, although it comes close), muzzlepuff, redonk, and the like. But most importantly, after I get my daily does of cuteness, the world immediately seems like a better place.
My current favorite entry involves the cutest hamster in the world and a tiny wedge of cheese.
Cheese! Cheese! Cheese!
See? The world is better already.
