Gladys Reyes was hailed as best actress for her performance in the movie 'Apag.'
Gladys Reyes was among the big winners at the first-ever Summer Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal.
The former Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kuwento star won the Best Actress award for her role in 'Apag,' which was directed by Brillante Mendoza.
On her Instagram page, Gladys expressed her gratitude for the whole cast of the film, “Direk @brillante_mendoza na ipinagkatiwala sakin si Nita Balagtas, ate @jaclynjose sa paggabay sakin, Coco sa pagpayag na gawin ang Apag.”
In addition, she also dedicated her win to her father Sonyer, who passed away in October 2021.
She posted, “Para ito sa papa ko, Papa Sonyer kung buhay lang sya siguradong tuwang tuwa siya at sa Apo Sessia ko, na sa knya ako natuto magkapampangan.
“Sa mama ko, Mom Z @lolapretty421 sis @wonderwomom_janice and my brother PJ, my sis in law Claire.
“Kaibigang press salamat sa inyo, sa mga isinulat po ninyo na nagustuhan ang pagganap ko, Nay Lolit my manager.”

Fellow celebrities congratulated Gladys Reyes for her huge win in the Summer Metro Manila Film Festival, including her son in Pepito Manaloto, Kokoy de Santos. Kokoy portrayed the character of young Patrick in the award-winning sitcom, while Gladys played the role of Nanay Rosa.
