Kapuso actress Glaiza de Castro expresses her heartfelt gratitude following the warm reception of her Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 film, Bar Boys: After School.

On Sunday, January 4, 2026, Glaiza de Castro took to Instagram pens message of gratitude to the "cinephiles" who have been watching and reviewing her latest film, Bar Boys: After School which is an official entry in the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival 2025.

The Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre star shared how thankful she is to be part of a production that tackles pressing social issues and offers the audience a meaningful perspective on the complexities of life.

“Hey Cinephiles, been reading your reviews about Bar Boys: After School! Just so grateful to be part of a film that discuss relevant issues, bring inspiration and appreciate life's complexities,” Glaiza wrote in the caption.

Glaiza shared how happy she is to witness the deepening love and support of her fellow Filipinos for the Philippine local films after the successful run of MMFF 2025.

“It's truly heartening to see Filipino cinema thriving and receiving so much love and support,” she expressed.

For Glaiza, this support serves as an "encouragement" for those in the industry to further share their talents and tell life-changing stories; it also offers her fellow artists, producers, and filmmakers the hope to persist in their passion for filmmaking.

“This kind of encouragement fuels our industry, and I hope more producers and filmmakers continue to share the stories they're passionate about, tell meaningful narratives, and find continued success in doing what they love,” she wrote.

She concluded her post with a confident cry for the Philippine film industry: “Mabuhay ang pelikulang Pilipino!”

Glaiza is one of the new characters who joined in the sequel Bar Boys: After School, an entry in the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival.

She is joined by several stars including Will Ashley, Klarisse de Guzman, Emilio Daez, Sassa Gurl, Therese Malvar, Benedix Ramos, and Bryce Eusebio, who all portray new characters in this sequel.
