Glaiza De Castro is over the moon as '58th' makes its way to the Busan International Film Festival.
TV and film actress Glaiza De Castro is celebrating another major milestone as her animated documentary 58th, directed by Carl Joseph Papa, is set to screen at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in South Korea.
In an announcement on the Instagram page of GMA Pictures, 58th will be screened under the Documentary Showcase of BIFF's Wide Angle section.
The 31st Busan International Film Festival will be held from October 6 to 15.
During the Philippine premiere of 58th at the 2026 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival, Glaiza honored the people she worked with on the GMA Pictures project, including her late co-star Ricky Davao.
Glaiza said at the time: “Gusto ko rin po i-acknowledge dahil napakaimportanteng role rin po ang kaniyang ginampanan, Direk Ricky Davao.
“Ito po ang siguro isa sa mga huling pelikulang natapos niya. Kasama ko rin po siya sa 'Sang'gre, nagkasama rin kami rito at sa Sinagtala, at bago siya namaalam ay talagang nakita ko kung gaano rin siya kasipag at katapang. So, masaya rin po ako na napapaligiran ako ng mga matatapang na tao.”
South Korea also holds a special place in Glaiza's life, as both seasons of the hit reality TV show Running Man Philippines were filmed in the East Asian country.
Joining Glaiza in the star-studded cast of the show were Mikael Daez, Ruru Madrid, Lexi Gonzales, Buboy Villar, Angel Guardian, Kokoy de Santos, and Miguel Tanfelix.
