Glaiza De Castro

Glaiza de Castro is thrilled with how her career is thriving, especially with her move into theater and her roles in award-winning films!

In a Chika Minute interview, Glaiza De Castro shared how surreal her current career path feels. Fresh off her role as Sang'gre Pirena in Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre, the actress is celebrating both her transition to the theater stage and a wave of milestones for her recent movies.

Glaiza stars in Ron Evangelista's She's Electric, which is part of SET C: BALAT KALABAW for the upcoming Virgin Labfest (VLF) XXI: HUBO'T HUBAD. The said theater play was directed by the renowned director, JP Habac.

Glaiza recently opened up about how joining the theater world was a longtime dream of hers, adding that the opportunity lined up perfectly with her life right now.

“Ang tagal ko nang gusto na subukan 'yung teatro and I was given the perfect timing, an opportunity, to do it finally,” Glaiza said.

In a Chika Minute report covering a bridal fashion show in Taguig, the actress shared her disbelief and excitement over finally being able to call herself a real theater actress.

“Sa wakas ay isa na 'kong theater actress, wow! Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na makapag-perform live kasi isa 'to sa mga iniisip kong gawin dati pa,” she said.

Additionally, Glaiza celebrated the ongoing global success of her GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs documentary film, 58th.

The film is currently making waves internationally, competing at France's prestigious Annecy International Animation Film Festival and securing an invitation to the Doc Edge Festival 2026 in New Zealand.

“Mayroong campaign ang GMA Pictures at GMA Public Affairs na pabiyaheng Oscars so kung makapasok tayo at kung manalo tayo sa Doc Edge may posibilidad na makapasok tayo sa Oscars. 'Di ba ang saya!” Glaiza expressed.

Glaiza's streak of success continues as she and Rhian Ramos recently headed to Thailand to showcase their GL feature, I Fell, It's Fine.

“Ang daming mga Thai fans ang fans din ng RaStro so may mga ibang fans na nag-fly specifically to support us,” she shared.
