Glaiza De Castro remains a Kapuso as she signs a network contract anew with GMA Network.

After getting engaged, Glaiza De Castro marked another important event in her life as she renewed her contract with GMA Network.

Present at the contract signing on February 8, are GMA Network Chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon, GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, GMA Vice President for Drama Productions Redgie Acuña-Magno, and GMA Network Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi S. Lara, GMAAC Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, GMAAC Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia, Program Manager Nini Matilac, and Glaiza's co-manager Manny Vallester.

In an interview with GMA reporters, Kapuso executive Lilybeth G. Rasonable expressed her thoughts about Glaiza's latest milestones both in her career and in her love life. It was last December 2020 when the actress and her Irish boyfriend, David Rainey, got engaged after more than two years of being in a relationship.

Lilybeth stated, "Nakakatuwa na hanggang ngayon ay nasa atin pa si Glaiza at magpapatuloy pa ang ating relationship with Glaiza na matagal na nating kasama sa GMA.

"We're very happy for her that she has found her partner in life and we consider her family here sa GMA. So bukod sa masaya 'yun para sa kanya ay sana nga maituring niyang magandang [wedding gift] itong pagre-renew ng kontrata sa GMA."

Glaiza, who has been with GMA for 15 years, is regarded as one of the most sought-after actresses in her generation.

She got her baptism of fire in showbiz when she starred in the 2001 Kapuso drama series Ikaw Lamang Ang Mamahalin.

Fast forward to 2006, Glaiza decided to become a full-fledged Kapuso and her decision has paid off.

She is noted for being an effective kontrabida in such iconic GMA series as Stairway To Heaven (2009), Temptation of Wife (2012) and Encantadia (2016).

While she takes kontrabida roles a notch higher, Glaiza is also admired for her stellar performance as the main character in Grazilda (2010) and Contessa (2018).

Not to mention, the Kapuso star made a buzz after she was teamed up with Rhian Ramos for the lesbian-themed series The Rich Man's Daughter in 2015 which gained gained positive reception from viewers.

Right now, Glaiza is gearing up for her new Kapuso project, a TV adaptation of the '80s classic Filipino movie Nagbabagang Luha.

Here, she will be paired with Rayver Cruz for the first time, playing the lead role of Maita who was originally portrayed by the award-winning actress Lorna Tolentino.

Besides acting, Glaiza also enjoys singing and hosting.

GMA has given her platforms for her to hone and showcase her other skills.

Among these are Sunday musical variety shows SOP Fully Charged (2007), Party Pilipinas (2010), and Sunday All Stars (2013).

Glaiza is currently a part of GMA's musical-comedy-variety program All-Out Sundays.
