How do Glaiza de Castro and David Rainey cope with their long-distance relationship? Find out.
Nagbabagang Luha actress Glaiza de Castro got candid about her relationship with her fiancé David Rainey on her Instagram and YouTube channel.
On both platforms, the Kapuso star shared how they cope with their long-distance relationship given the circumstance of a travel ban and the coronavirus pandemic that is still imminent worldwide.
“It's been almost a year since the Philippines imposed the travel ban. If booking flights used to be so easy, sometimes surprisingly affordable, now it's a conundrum of trying to find ways on when or how you will see your loved one/s again,” she began.
“Yes, I'm one of those affected by this, not because I'm itching to book my next travel destination but because I'm in a long-distance relationship made more difficult because of this pandemic.”
Glaiza said that she had accepted that she wouldn't be able to see David Rainey very soon.
Though despite all this, she remains hopeful that they will, one day, see each other, and rising to the challenge that is COVID will all be worth it.
She explained, “Our faith is constantly tested, our creativity is challenged, and though it is overwhelmingly hard, we continue to hope, knowing that one day, it will all be worth it.”
Alongside the beautiful caption is a short video of Glaiza and David reading their love letters to one another as a promise to hold on to each other and knowing that they'll be in each other's arms again.
“This is the story of how we persevere, how we try to make each other feel that distance is never going to be a hindrance in keeping our relationship,” Glaiza said.
According to the couple, their notebook of handwritten love letters is special because it played “a huge part in their journey.”

Glaiza de Castro announced her engagement on December 24, 2020, to longtime boyfriend David Rainey.
The Kapuso actress broke the good news on Instagram by uploading a photo of herself showing her engagement ring.
“Who would've thought I'd say yes in freezing cold weather… it just felt right,” she captioned.
