Miss Gloria Diaz gauges Maxine's chances on winning the crown.
Will our own bet, Maxine Medina, be the fourth Pinay who will wear the Miss Universe crown?
Former Miss Universe 1969 title holder Gloria Diaz was asked this question in an interview by the People’s Television Network (PTV) and the beauty queen-turned actress gamely answered the question.
She was asked, “Do you believe Maxine can give us back-to-back Miss U victories?”
Diaz replied, “No, but, I think she has a chance and chance is one in a million.”

Past winners of the prestigious pageant include Margie Moran (1973) and reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach (2015).
The 65th Miss Universe coronation night will be held at SM Mall of Asia Arena and televised live in GMA Network on January 30.
